47.5 million people in the world are suffering from some form of dementia.
The most prominent manifestation of any form of dementia is forgetfulness.
Apart from dementia patients, many senior citizens across the globe also face the problem of declining memory due to old age.
The most common result of poor memory is getting lost.
It can lead to serious problems like dehydration & traffic accidents.
An Android application that can give the elderly a chance to safely move around alone and independently, despite their memory problems.
It will be a background app that periodically saves the geographical position of the elderly.
This position can then be viewed by a family member or caretaker to locate them in case they get lost.
While this is the main purpose of the appliation, it will also provide other functionalities that can help the elderly find their way back or get help. For more details check next section!
- UI designed to meet needs of the elderly.
- Periodically save location in a database.
- Instructions for closest transportation to get home.

- SOS button to send location to family members and/or caretakers.
- ID page with all contact information and important medical information of elderly.
- Battery low notification to family members and/or caretakers of dementia patients.
