Q: [General] What are the system requirements for the app?
A: The app works on iOS devices running iOS 7.0 or above;
or on most Android devices running Android 4.0 or above.
Q: [General] The response of the apps is slow. Is this a problem?
A: The amount of free memory available for the app affects the latency, please try closing every app
(including HKcBirds) and restart the app. You can
also try shutting down the device and restarting
it if it has not been restarted for a long time.
Q: [Android] After downloading the app, I was
prompted to a page for downloading additional
data. Is this I have to do this every time when I
use the app?
Most of the devices will download the additional
data together with the app. If you see this page,
it means that the data are not automatically
downloaded. You should then follow the instruction
to download the additional data. This is only
required when you launch the app for the first

appears when I launch the app. Why?
A: If you see this message, please try the followings:
- Uninstall the app.
- Check the storage capacity of your device. You may need 1G internal and 1G external storage in order to install this app.
- Close all the running apps.
- Download and install the app and additional data (if applicable) when the Wifi connection is stable.
- If you still see the same message, it means
that your device is not compatible with this
app. For this device, the photos cannot be
displayed and bird calls cannot be played. You
can only access the textual bird information through the app.
