Exhibition day arrangements 作品展覽日安排

  1. The Project Exhibition, Judging and Award Presentation will be held on 2015-05-03[Sun]. 作品展覽、評審及頒獎典禮於二零一五年五月三日星期日舉行。
  2. Here it is the rundown of the day. 當日日程如下。

  3. The exhibition venue is Loke Yew Hall, in the main campus of The University of Hong Kong. 展覽地點為香港大學陸佑堂,位於本部校園。

  5. Loke Yew Hall can be entered through the stairs at the northern side of the 由-shaped Main Building. Drivers can enter the campus from Kotewall Road and stop temporarily on the east side of Main Building for loading and unloading. Click "Driver's Route" > "Drive within Main Campus", then search from "Kotewall Road" to "Main Building" for driving route. The east side entrance of the Main Building is at the same level as Loke Yew Hall, and no stair climbing is needed. Drivers entering from the West Gate has to go to the east side of the Main Building by following most of the route to the Knowles Building, and turn left to the east side of the Main Building. 陸佑堂可從由字形的本部大樓北端行樓梯進入。 駕駛者可從旭龢道進入本部校園,並在本部大樓東端短暫上落。 你可在地圖按「旭龢道」>「本報校園內駕駛路線」,然後尋找從「旭龢道」至「本部大樓」的駕駛路線。 本部大樓東端入口與陸佑堂同樣高度,無需爬樓梯。 從西閘進入的駕駛者,需跟從大部分往紐魯詩樓的路線,轉左往本部大樓東端。
  6. If you are coming by MTR, go to the HKU Station exit A1 Pokfulam Road level. The MTR street map can be found at http://www.mtr.com.hk/archive/en/services/maps/hku.pdf. Loke Yew Hall is the location with green mark 49. 若你乘搭港鐵前來,請用香港大學站 A1 薄扶林道出口。 請往此取得地鐵街道圖http://www.mtr.com.hk/archive/en/services/maps/hku.pdf。 陸佑堂位於綠色49號標示處。
  7. Participants can enter Loke Yew Hall at 0900 hour the earliest for preparation. Since this is an exhibition open to the public, we suggest participants to start preparing early. 參賽者最早可於九時進入展覽場地。 因為這是公開予公眾參觀的展覽,我們建議大家早點到場準備。
  8. In the Floor plan of Loke Yew Hall, the blue rectangle is the seating area, and green rectangle is the exhibition area. 陸佑堂平面圖中,藍色長方形部份為座椅區,綠色部份為各隊的展覽區。
  9. The locations of the exhibition areas of the teams are assigned by the organizers. 每隊展覽區的位置由主辦單位決定。
  10. Each team will be provided with the following resources that cannot be taken away:
    1. A set of two adjacent exhibition boards arranged as a V, each board with side 1m in width and 2m in height (there are two sets in this picture),
    2. a table in front of it,
    3. a open-top box made of paper and cloth, to be placed under the table, for miscellaneous storage, and
    4. A power socket.
    每隊會有以下物資,不能帶走:
    1. 一組兩塊相鄰的展板,每塊一米闊、兩米高,V 形排列(此圖中有兩組);
    2. 前面放一張
    3. 用紙和布造的可摺疊開頂儲物盒,放於枱下;
    4. 一個電源插座。
  11. The exhibition area of each team is the area in front of the V-shaped board and the table. Members of the team can stay in front of their exhibition areas for demonstration to judges and visitors. Teams should not block the way. 每隊的展覽區就是他們展板和枱前的區域。 隊員可在他們的展覽區展示他們的作品予評判及參觀者。 隊員及物品不可阻塞通道。
  12. The sea level measurement device submitted will be on the exhibition area of each team, to be taken away after the exhibition. 已交的海平面量度裝置將放於每組的展覽區,請於展覽後帶走。
  13. The submitted reports will not be given back to the teams. Teams intending to show their reports should prepare their own copies. 已提交的文字報告將不會發還參賽隊伍。 如欲展示文字報告,請自行準備。
  14. We suggest team members to wear school uniforms in the exhibition. 請參賽者穿著校服出席展覽。
  15. The seating area can be used as a temporary resting area during the exhibition. However, since the exhibition is open to public, at all times participants should not leave their personal belongings unattended. The organizers bear no responsibility for any missing items during the exhibition. 前面坐椅區可以用來作短暫的休息。然而,因這展覽對外開放,個人物品必須時時隨身保管。 物件如有遺失,主辦單位概不負責。
  16. There is no chair in the exhibition areas. Teams are suggested to make arrangements so that the exhibition area is manned at any time the exhibition is open, even when some team members are visiting other exhibits, or resting in the area with chairs in front of the hall. 展覽區沒有椅子。 我們建議參賽隊伍作人手安排,以確保在展覽開放時段,無論有隊員在參觀其他作品,或在前面坐椅區休息時,每隊的展覽區仍有人看守及示範。
  17. Teams are suggested to prepare posters or other promotional materials to be affixed onto the boards. Only hook-and-loop (Velcro) can be used to fix the posters onto board. The organizers will provide the materials for affixing posters. Adhesive tapes, staples or pins are not allowed. 我們建議參賽隊伍利用展板張貼海報或其他宣傳物品。 海報只可用魔術貼固定在展板上,主辦機構將會供應魔術貼。 不能使用膠紙、釘書機、圖釘來固定海報。
  18. Teams are suggested to mount the posters on high density polystyrene boards (foam boards) as backing material to keep the posters flat. 我們建議參賽隊伍利用高密度發泡膠板(珍珠版)承托海報,使之保持平直。
  19. Teams can install decorations on their exhibition areas as long as all materials can be completely removed from the exhibition area in a few minutes without a trace. 參賽隊伍可以佈置他們的展覽區,但要確保所有佈置可以在幾分鐘內不留痕跡地完全拆除。
  20. Participants are suggested to bring their own tools for setting up, cleaning up and repairing their devices if needed. 我們建議參賽隊伍自携工具佈置及清理場地,與及有需要時可以修理其海平面量度裝置。
  21. We discourage the use of amplifiers in the exhibition areas. 我們不建議在展覽場地使用揚聲設備。
  22. There will be no wired network in the exhibition areas. Participants and visitors can access WiFi-HK via HKU in general.   23. Each team should bring their own water tanks for demonstration if needed. We suggest to use the smallest water tank possible to make water filling more efficient. 如要用水示範,參賽隊伍請自攜盛水器皿。 我們建議用最小的盛水器皿,以提高盛水的效率。
  24. Participants can get water from the nearby toilets or tap at the courtyards. Toilets and the courtyards can be accessed from the four side exits of the hall. See the Fire Evacuation Plan of the Main Building for the location. 參賽者可以附近廁所或中庭取水。 參賽者可於陸佑堂的四個側門離開往廁所或中庭。 廁所位置請參閲本部大樓火警疏散圖
  25. Since water is heavy (1 liter weighs 1 kg, 1m3 weighs 1 tonne), participants are suggested to take water in small amounts multiple times, or bring a trolley for water transport if needed. Take extra care not to spill water during transportation. We recommend the participants to bring towels for cleaning spilt water. 因為水有一定重量(一公升水重一千克,一立方米水重一公噸),如有須要,參賽者可多次少量取水,或帶備手拉車運水。 運水時請小心不要倒瀉。我們建議參賽者自備毛巾作清潔之用。
  26. After the exhibition is open to public, participants are suggested to enter or leave the hall from the four side exits to avoid disturbance. 當展覽開放予公眾後,參賽者請盡量用側門進出陸佑堂,以免影響參觀者進出。
  27. There is no designated lunch time; teams are suggested to make appropriate lunch arrangements. Restaurants in the main campus are all within a few minutes of walking distance. You can visit http://www.maps.hku.hk/ and click on "Facilities" on the menu on the left side, then select "Restaurants" for information. Except for Senior Common Room in K.K.Leung Building which is for members only, you can dine in all open restaurants. 展覽不設午飯時間,參賽隊伍請自行安排。 本部校園之餐廳全部步行幾分鐘可達。 請往 http://www.maps.hku.hk/,按左邊「設施」,然後揀選「餐廳」來取得資訊。 隨梁銶琚樓之 Senior Common Room 只有會員可用外,一般營業中的餐廳都可以進入。
  28. Please do not eat in the exhibition hall. 請勿在場內進食。
  29. The sea level measurement device and all exhibition materials (posters, decorations, water tanks, etc.) are to be taken away by the teams when they leave. 參賽隊伍請於離開時帶走其海平面量度裝置及展覽品,如海報、佈置物料、盛水器皿等。
  30. We encourage visiting the exhibits by other teams and sharing your experience. That is knowledge exchange! 我們鼓勵各參賽隊伍互相參觀對方的作品,分享大家的經驗。這就是知識交流!
  31. All participants should be seated in the seating area during the Award presentation and closing ceremony. Seating plan will be available on the exhibition day. 頒獎典禮及閉幕禮進行時,參賽者請坐在座椅區。展覽日將有座位表。
  32. As a reminder, the "My Favourite Sea Level Measurement Device Award" is determined by visitors' votes. Please invite your schoolmates, friends and family, alumni and alumae to come and visit! 提醒大家,「我最喜愛的海平面量度裝置」獎項由投票產生,請宣傳,讓同學、親友、舊生齊來參觀!
