In Asian area, Japan has taken the leading
role and has been established itself both
as a large producer and consumer of supercomputing
systems. Although Hong Kong is well known
as a financial center, in the past ten years,
several computer systems installed in Hong
Kong have appeared in the list. To date,
the most powerful computer systems is installed
by IBM for a financial institution on 2000,
and its best achievement reached rank #43.
