In the figures shown below, we place the fitting curves generated in successive iterations at successive heights (from bottom to top) to form an evolution surface, where a striped texture is used to depict the trajectories of points with fixed parameter values on the fitting curve. It can be observed that SDM converges much faster than PDM.
