Introduction

Due to the increasing demand of better gaming experience, this project tries to combine physical and virtual gaming experience to provide a better gaming experience to the players.

Physical Gaming Experience

Any physical objects for entertainment, spider-like robot with 6 legs is used in this project.

Virtual Gaming Experience

Gaming with virtual environment provided, Augmented Reality (AR) is used in this project.

Combination

Robot is one of the characters in the game fighting with virtual characters generated by AR. Meanwhile, the game can control the robot to move in the real-world.

Product

An AR mobile game which supports robot controlling will be delivered.

Objective

This project aims to provide an interesting and fresh idea for gaming experience to the game industry.

Why?

The development of game industry is saturated causing the gaming experiences are monotonous for either physical or virtual aspect. However, it is difficult to create a brand-new gaming experience out of real-world and virtual world. Therefore, combining physical and virtual is a new try to be believed that a more attractive and interesting new gaming experiences will be provided to the players.

How?

Integrating the strengths and complementing the weakness of physical and virtual gaming experience is the main purpose of combining the two. The movements of robot can provide a realistic vision, while characters generated by AR can provide a fancy feeling. As a result, user interaction between the real-world and the virtual world is increased.
