Title: Grid computing - easy solution for difficult problems
Abstract: This talk will introduce "grid computing" which is becoming increasingly a preferred way to deal with large scientific as well as many other types of problems. Problems that were too substantial for ordinary computers to handle in the past have found an easy solution using the grid. The talk will highlight the present tools available for programming/using the grid, and how they might evolve in the near future in order to meet the demands from the more sophisticated users and complex applications.
