Genome Mining:

In response to the deluge of the human genome data, my laboratory has developed an interactive graphic interface program. A prototype program for visualising the completed bacterial genome has been developed. Couple project students are needed to further develop this program and use it for genome mining.

Simdex:

One project student is needed to rewrite and further developed DNA Simdex. Simdex is a Window program that uses sophisticated image-analysis techniques to automatically locate bands on DNA fingerprinting electrophoresis gel images and calculate similarity indexes.
