Students

Gao Chang

Project Member and Leader

I am a final-year computer science student at the University of Hong Kong and also a prospective master of science in computer vision at Carnegie Mellon University. I have been an active researcher focusing on AI and visual computing, including deep learning, image processing, computer vision, and graphics. Some of my works have been published in SIGGRAPH and IEEE GRSL. Previously, I worked at HKU and UC Irvine as student research assistant and interned at Indeed Tokyo as a software engineer and data scientist. I am familiar with a variety of programming languages and ranked 4th in ACM Hong Kong 2016. I am semi-professional in traditional Chinese painting and seal carving. I love playing basketball.

Gu Derun

Project Member

I am a senior student of Computing and Data Analytics at University of Hong Kong. I have been an exchange student in University of California, San Diego under Computer Science and Engineering Department for two quarters, and obtained a perfect GPA (4.0/4.0). I am a consistent algorithm fan and our team won silver medal in Tsing Tao reginal contest of ACM/ICPC. Besides, I am delighted to see the promising potential of machine learning in various fields, while I am more curious about how to understand the principles behind those models.
