Objective :

The objective of this proposal is to leverage the technologies advancements made in both compression and analytics such that a new paradigm of video analytics and retrieval can be realized. We believe this will help to resolve the fundamental problem in video surveillance systems where compression and analytics are being done in separate and non-synchronized fashion, which hinders the scalability of video surveillance system in terms of analytics and retrieval capability.
