The Laboratory of Meteorological Computing was established in 2003. It aims at carrying out research in the field of meteorological computing, and provides training to students of Department of Computer Science, The University of Hong Kong. More than 30 students at various levels from undergraduates to Ph.D. benefit from the laboratory for its training on a number of research and development projects.
