注意事項 Points to note:
* 參賽隊伍請在簡報開始前最少二十分鐘到達講堂準備。如參加隊伍提交硬件，組員可於簡報前取回他們的作品，利用自携之工具整修。參賽作品需於簡報後交回大會評審。
Teams are advised to arrive at the lecture theatre at least 20 minutes before the start time of presentation to prepare. If the team has submitted physical visibility meter, participants can take back their deliverables for repair and touch up before the presentation using their own tools. The deliverables have to be returned to the organizer for judging after the presentation.
* 場館會提供VGA連接埠、電腦及投影機。大會可安排裝有 Microsoft Office 之 Windows 7 供參賽隊伍簡報之用。大會之電腦可上網。
VGA Connection, computer and projector are available at the presentation venue. Platforms available for presentation include Windows 7 with Microsoft Office suite. Organizer-provided computers are Internet-enabled.
* 參賽隊伍可連接自携之手提電腦至大會之投射器。解像度請用 1024x768, 60Hz 或以下。簡報前請先將手提電腦起動。欲將自携之手提電腦上網者 請最少三日前通知。
Teams can connect their notebook computers to the projector for presentation. Use standard VGA cable for connection. Resolution should be set to 1024x768, 60Hz or lower. Please boot up your notebook computer before connecting it to the projector. Prior arrangement three days before presentation should be made if teams want to connect their own notebook computers to the Internet.
* 每隊有十八分鐘時間，其中十五分鐘用作簡報，餘下三分鐘則用作連線、 準備、評判討論等。建議參賽者利用約十分鐘介紹及演示其作品，五分鐘解答評審團的問題。
A 18-minute slot is allocated to each team. Each group is expected to use 15 minutes for presentation. The 3-minutes slack time is for overheads such as computer connection, set up, clean up and judge discussion. Participants are suggested to spend about 10 minutes for presentation and/or demonstration, and 5 minutes for questions and answers from the judges.
* 隊伍需於簡報當天呈交簡報檔案。檔案請存於CDROM內。
The presentation media files such as PowerPoint, flash, or video should be submitted, on CDROM on the day of presentation.
* 簡報可用廣東話或英語。
The presentation can be in Cantonese or English.
* 參賽隊伍須填一份簡單的表格，記錄誰作簡報及誰有出席。
A form will be handed to each team to indicate who the presenters are, and, optionally, who are in attendance.
* 簡報開放予任何人旁聽。家長、同學、教師均歡迎出席簡報會。講堂可容納約290人。
The presentation is open to all interested parties. Parents, fellow students and teachers are welcome to the presentation sessions. The lecture theatre can accommodate about 290 people.
惡劣天氣安排 Adverse Weather Arrangements:
* 若香港天文台發出8號或以上的熱帶氣旋或紅色或黑色暴雨警告信號時，作品簡報將會有以下安排:
When Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 8 (or above) or the Red/Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted, the following arrangements will apply:
  • 若警告在上午6:15或之前生效，上午的簡報活動將自動取消。
    If either of the warnings is hoisted or in force at or before 6:15am, the morning sessions will be canceled automatically.
  • 若警告在正午12:00或之後生效，下午的簡報活動將自動取消。
    If either of the warnings is hoisted or in force at or after 12:00 noon, the afternoon session will be canceled automatically.
  • 若警告信號於正午12:00前除下，下午的簡報活動將如期進行。
    If the warnings is canceled on or before 12:00 noon, the afternoon session will be resumed.
* 如作品簡報已經開始:
If the presentation has already started:
  • 若天文台發出八號預警, 所有簡報將會立即暫停。
    When Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted, all presentation sessions will be suspended immediately.
  • 若天文台發出紅色或黑色暴雨警告訊號，簡報會將繼續進行。演示室將保持開放，直至參賽者可以安全離開為止。
    When Red/Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted, the presentation sessions would continue. The presentation room will remain open until it is safe for the participants to return home.
* **更新 Updated** 如警告(8號或以上的熱帶氣旋或紅色或黑色暴雨警告)於上午六時十五分/ 正午十二時前除下，上午/下午簡報活動將如常舉行, 老師及家長可因應天 氣情況、交通配套設施及周遭環境，自行決定是否讓學生出席作品簡報活 動。如不能出席，請致電通知，將貴組別的簡報活動安排至3/7或4/7進行。
If the warnings (Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 8 (or above) or the Red/Black Rainstorm Warning Signal) are canceled on or before 6:15 am/12:00 noon, the morning afternoon sessions will be resumed. Teachers/parents could decide whether the students should attend the event or not by considering the current weather, traffic and the environmental conditions. Please contact Dr. WONG Ka Yan [Ivy] if the team will not attend the event. We will then arrange the team to present on 3/7 or 4/7.
* 如活動因惡劣天氣而取消，作品簡報活動將於2012-07-03[Tue] (下午) 或 2012-07-04[Wed] (下午) 進行。 詳情會稍後公佈。請參賽者密切留意及通知學生／同學。不便之處，敬請見諒。
If the event has been canceled, it will be held on 2012-07-03[Tue] PM or 2012-07-04[Wed] PM. The details will be announced later. Please keep checking the facebook group from time to time and help informing your students/classmates. Sorry for any convenience caused. Thank you for your attention.
