The "Earthquake Detector Design Competition" is organized by the Faculty of Engineering, The University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Observatory, and the Hong Kong Meteorological Society under the project titled "Earthquake in Hong Kong?" supported by the HKU Knowledge Exchange Fund. The project is also supported by The TsimShaTsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association and Community Weather Information Network (Co-WIN).
