Background

Recently the number of cars world wide has surpassed a monumental 1 billion. The third highest population in the world is of cars. Moreover driving has become a necessary skill more than a luxury. It is expected that the number of cars will grow in the future and so will the number of drivers. Nowadays we have applications for chatting, calling and even laughing. It is about time we design an efficient and effective application for driving. Currently, there exist many applications in the market that not only assist driving but make it more convenient however there is no single application that performs all the functions and even more.

As quoted famously:

The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status, or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers.

Hence I have taken up the task to improve and assist driving in all possible ways.

Design and development of a Smart-phone application that assists driving by converting the phone into a GPS-enabled vehicle recorder. Using a back-end server GPS information will be received and the locations of the vehicles/bikes will be located. The application is a way to assist driving and make it more convenient and secure. Moreover it integrates all the current functions available while driving into a single application.
