Cam-ready Instructions

Please note that you should upload the cam-ready paper on the submission website by July 28, 2021. Each accepted paper must have at least one paid registration by August 8, 2021 in order to publish in APSys 2021 and the ACM Digital Library. Please refer to the registration page.

Below are the paper formatting rules for APSys 2021:

• Seven or fewer pages of technical content, including all text, figures, tables, appendices, etc., excluding references.
• Formatted in standard ACM two-column conference style with 10-pt font size on 12-point (single-spaced) leading.
• Use A4 or US letter paper size, with all text and figures fitting inside a 178 x 229 mm (7 x 9 in) block centered on the page.
• Graphs and figures should be readable when printed in grayscale, without magnification.
• All references within the paper should be hyperlinked.

We recommend using the latex template at the website:

• With the template use the standard proceedings option (not the journal option).
• ACM has deprecated all older style files and released a new template that supersedes prior templates. Authors should not use the older deprecated versions.
• ACM classification sections are not required.
• Authors need to include the rights management and bibstrip text blocks, including DOI, at the left bottom of the first page. Please submit the copyright form (delivered to authors via a mail titled "ACM Rights Management: APSys '21") first. You must formally grant permission to ACM to publish this contribution before ACM can proceed with production. After submitting the copyright form, please copy and paste a system-generated code snippet into your TeX file between \begin{document} and \maketitle, either after or before CCS codes. (Note that the copyright text may differ depending on the copyright transfer agreement with ACM.)

Presentation Instructions

Authors of accepted papers need to submit a video of their presentations and the slides to an upload site by August 10, 2021 (Tuesday), 23:59:59 EDT (no extensions will be given). We will provide the details of the upload site to authors by email. If you have any problem accessing the upload site, please contact apsys@cs.hku.hk.

Video Specifications

• Each video should be at most 15 minutes long. For each paper, we will first play the video, followed by 5 minutes of moderated Q&A (i.e., a total of 20 minutes per paper).
• File format: MP4
• Video resolution: at least 720p
• Aspect ratio: 16:9 preferred
• Maximum file size: 500MB
• File-naming convention: apsys21_paper[Paper#id]_[Last_Name_of_First_Author]_video.mp4 (e.g., apsys21_paper0_smith_video.mp4)
• Record the presenter’s face as well in the video. Make sure that the presenter’s picture doesn’t cover the slides.
• We recommend that you use Zoom or Powerpoint to do video recordings.
